SHRIGURU PANIPANDEY International Centre Of Practical Yoga (SPICOPY)
The Shriguru Panipandey international centre of Practical Yoga
was set up by
Shriguru Panipandey
initially in the name of Akhara (arena) Panipandey in the year 1920. He was training boys in indian wrestling. Then his son and disciple Shyam Yogasharya renamed it as
SPICOPY.
Its main trust is on simple practicable yoga , based on patanjali's Yogic philosophy for development of body and soul. The school has been training thousands of idian and foreign aspirants since 1980.
Swami Shyama Yogacharya teaches that
Patanjali Yoga Philosophy
is the first way by which he can reach the masses, intellectuals and yogis but he does not believe it is enough. The modern world is so complex that the truth about it can be perceived by common sense or by mystical insight, important as these things are. Hence the centre in teaching its Yoga movement wants to have close relationship with Yogabhyasa (Yoga practices) and the ancient system of remedy by discovering the new models of development of the power of the mind, both moral, physical and spiritual. One should not make the mistake of looking for saintly virtues in Yoga practice. There are many teachers of yoga that might not have the adequate schooling, but they are not only knowledgeable but also intellectually accomplished. |
